Loblaw bets on on-line shopping

A secret online marketing test will be operated in Mississauga, Ontario by Toronto, Ont.-based Loblaw Companies Ltd., the largest grocery store chain in Canada. Loblaw, which is exploring the potential for e-commerce in the grocery industry, is interested in gaining market share of a sector that will have a value of between $500 million and $700 million by 2003.
