Manors from heaven
Article Abstract:
Sydney, Australia, hosts an exhibition of contemporary architecture by Australian firms owned by young principals. The new breed of Australian architects use commonplace materials like cement and masonite to create unpretentious buildings reminiscent of common steel sheds. Queensland is home to an open, breezy style of building inspired by the architecture of Japan and Papua New Guinea. The new architecture of Melbourne is more complex, eschewing straight lines in favor of asymmetrical designs.
