Market rallies on jobs, but tentatively
Article Abstract:
In response to 308,000 new jobs created by the United States economy in March 2004, the stock market rallied tentatively. The cautious rise was due in part to the fact that the market had priced in job growth for some time and such growth calls to mind higher interest rates, which, in turn, is bad for stocks.
