Mavis Robertson, super funds manager
Article Abstract:
Mavis Robertson spent much of her life as a prominent member of Australia's Communist Party, but currently manages a retirement fund. She left the Party in the late 1970s, having realized it had limited means to achieve its peaceful ends. Robertson opposes taxation of retirement fund contribution, and believes a widespread consumption tax, especially for international tourists, would be a reasonable way to raise revenues.
