Miner with rough chance of making a sparkling discovery
Article Abstract:
Kimberly Resources believe they are close to finding the source of the diamonds they have discovered in ancient alluvial beds in Kimberly, Western Australia. A subsidiary of De Beers investigated the areas in the early 1990s, but relinquished the areas in 1992. Diamonds can travel far from their source without deteriorating, so their discovery in alluvials may not lead to their source.

Magnesium is becoming the metal of choice for auto manufacturers along with a cheap power source to extract it from its ore. It is 1.5 times lighter than aluminium and five times lighter than steel. Currently, only about 420,000 tons are produced, but it is likely to increase.
