Moneysworth posts quarter loss, record sales

Moneysworth and Best Shoe Care Inc, a shoe retail and repair chain based in Toronto, Canada, posted a 28% increase in revenue in the 2nd qtr of 1999 to C$5.6 million from C$4.4 million in the same period in 1998. Despite the surge in sales, the company still reported a loss of C$655,000 compared to a loss of C$357,000 in the same period last year. Moneysworth has yet to turn a profit after acquiring its US rival, Adcor Products Inc, in Jan 1999.
