Mosaid lays off one-third of staff

Ottawa, Ont.-based Mosaid Technologies Inc., which will take a $6 million charge for reducing its labor force, will lay off between 104 and 162 employees. Mosaid, which has been hurt by a slowdown in the semiconductor sector, is led by chief executive officer George Cwynar.
