Alcohol-related brain damage is underdiagnosed in Australia and the child health experts have warned that there could be a hidden population of children suffering a range of disabilities caused by their mothers' drinking. The National Health and Medical Research Council has advised that pregnant women might have two drinks a day, but not more.
