Several prominent corporations during the annual meetings of 2003 in Australia will be asked to approve big pay rises for non-executive directors for better corporate governance. Proponents of best governance practice, who would rather see resolutions proposed on an annual basis if pay increases are warranted, will frown upon these resolutions.
