The Australian federal government is making a huge 10th anniversary party in the Great Hall of Parliament House on March 1, 2006 where John Howard and Mark Vaile, leader of the Nationals and deputy PM would communicate about how successful the Coalition was over the decade and plan an optimistic picture of the future. Along with them majority would be Coalition parliamentarians and ex-MPs and present and former officials of the Liberal and National parties.

A national flag: voters have been turning away from the nationals for years and things can only get worse-no matter who leads the party

Voters are turning away from the National Party for years while the party's great strength used to be a huge membership base, which is shrinking. The weakness of the National Party is not something that should please the Liberals but according to John Anderson the Party declines with such condition
