Natural history of change in physical function among long-stay nursing home residents
Article Abstract:
The patterns of change in physical function on a quarterly basis over one year among long-stay nursing home residents grouped according to their level of cognitive impairment on admission is described. It was concluded that complex statistical models might identify subgroups of nursing home residents who are at risk for rapid decline.

Clinical outcomes of Aging in Place
Article Abstract:
A comparison of clinical outcomes of individuals in a community-based, long-term care program to individuals of similar case mix in institutional-based, long-term care is presented. The comparison showed that community-based care with nurse coordination enhances clinical outcomes of long-term care participants.
