New World of War
Article Abstract:
The war against Iraq has benefited greatly from technology, which has greatly reduced casualties, both millitary and civilian, although no reliable figures are available for Iraq's military casualties. The precision bombings have also reduced damage to buildings such as mosques. It remains to be seen if the new, high-tech warfare will mean shorter wars in the future, however, as the technologies are adopted by countries that have now seen what the technologies can do. d
