Nortel lobbies for exemption from New York trade law
Article Abstract:
A New York anti-discrimination law that prohibits Canadian firms from obtaining state contracts is being challenged by Brampton, Ont.-based Nortel Networks Corp. The law, which is designed to favor local companies, was changed in 2000 to stop Canadian firms from bidding on state contracts.
