OSC sets up fake Internet scam
Article Abstract:
A fake Internet scam has been launched by the enforcement unit of the Ontario Securities Commission to show the dangers of online investments. The Web site, which was announced at a press conference in Toronto, was designed to highlight the proliferation of investment fraud on the Internet.

Global net fraud blitz planned

Securities regulators from Canada and several other countries plan to coordinate search for fraud perpetrators on the Internet. A similar all-day search was conducted in March 2000.
