Gates gives millions to B.C.'s libraries

Bill Gates, the founder of Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft Corp., has donated $3.5 million to British Columbia's public libaries. The gift, which will be used to purchase computer equipment and software, was made through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
