Pres. George W. Bush held a Rose Garden news conference to address issues about the Iraq war, intelligence gathering and weapons of mass destruction. He defended national security advisor Condoleeza Rice's part in his use of incorrect intelligence information about Iraqi efforts to obtain uranium from Africa.? He, also, volunteered comments about his plans to seek a Constitutional amendment that would certify marriage only between a man and woman.? He addressed other foreign and domestic policy issues, such as the Liberian civil war and US unemployment.

Bush Backs Bid To Block Gays From Marrying

Pres. George W. Bush used a Rose Garden press conference about Iraq war issues to offer his beliefs about gay marriage. He supports efforts to expand the current law that bans it and is seeking legal advice about the possibilities for taking the ban a step further by making it a Constitutional amendment.
