PetroKaz, Lukoli in crude oil spat

PetroKazakstan Inc, got into another fight with partner OAO Lukoil, made an aggressive move by reducing the flow of production at a major oil field where the two companies co-own to settle a dispute over the sale of crude. PetroKaz's dispute with Lukoil is over the sale of oil, the two companies have a deal to supply the domestic Kazakh market based on the volume of their production.

Gas industry sees coal-bed methane as the next frontier
Article Abstract:
Methane is the primary component of natural gas and is called an unconventional source of gas. There are 150,000 producing oil and gas wells in Alberta and the National Energy Board has predicted that as many as 50,000 coal bed methane wells could be drilled on the Horseshoe Canyon play.
