Pixar movie profits may falter
Article Abstract:
Pixar, the creator of 'Toy Story' and 'A Bug's Life,' warned that it may not reap profits from its animated films as the market becomes saturated. The company's filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission states that 'Toy Story 2' might not yield substantial revenue and operating results and that it expects net losses for the first half of 1999. Pixar, which has a 10-year co-production deal with Walt Disney for five films, is slated to release its fourth movie in 2001.
