Most Canadians who live in the Eastern and Western extremes of the nation want Quebec to remain part of Canada, but they are ambivalent about granting constitutional concessions to Quebec. Residents of Canada's Maritime provinces feel that their concerns are overshadowed by the attention given to Quebec.
