President Says Report on Arms Vindicates War
Article Abstract:
Pres. Bush has used chief weapons inspector David A. Kay's report on Iraqi weapons of mass destruction as vindication for invading Iraq. Although Kay found no WMDs, Bush believes that the discovery of military research projects and efforts to get missiles shows what a threat Saddam Hussein was to other countries. Democratic senators and representatives reacted to Kay's report with criticism of the administration's weak justifications for attacking Iraq.
