Price of victory: the bottom line
Article Abstract:
The recent election will turn out to be very expensive for Australia when the programs and policies promised by politicians are put into place. Article Abstract:
There is a trend in the 2001 Australian state elections for previously loyal supporters of the major parties to change their affiliation and vote for minor party candidates. Voters such as retirees who were adversely affected by the general sales tax that the government introduced in 2000, can no longer be relied upon to be loyal party supporters.
