The $550 million per year Australian accounting software market has seen sales fall as companies postpone technology spending. The resulting slump has resulted in falling stock prices for listed accounting software firms. MYOB has seen its shares fall dramatically as sales decreased from $122 million in 2000 to $68 million in 2001.
