Purging voter rolls

A HAVA requirement that states maintain centralized databases of all registered voters has proved problematic in some places, despite the rule's seemingly simple and commonsense nature. Voter roll purging has run up against problems in Kentucky, where Attorney general Gregory D. Stumbo, is challenging methods used by Secretary of State Trey Grayson to purge about 8,000 names from the voters lists, stating that those voters were also registered in Tennessee and South Carolina.

Real ID: Verifying IDs is harder than it sounds
Article Abstract:
The entire procedure of verifying IDs by sharing, verifying and retaining the data is actually a very tedious job. As according to the surveys, most of the databases of a state containing all such information don't exist.
