The much-criticized sport of competitive extreme eating is defended against a food critic who attacks the sport and participating sportsmen. This eating competition is not only regarded as a satisfying activity, but also deemed to be more sportsmanlike considering that an upcoming gorger donated half his well-earned dollars to the Hurricane Katrina victims.
