The Progressive Conservative Party and the Reform Party are paying particular attention to Justice Minister Allan Rock's proposed gun-control legislation and other Liberal Party activities. Rock's opposition is looking for controversy that can be used to win votes away from the Liberal Party before the 1997 election.
