Saan chain gets creditors protection: 'Significant' number of stores must close

Saan Stores, a victim of Giant Tiger, Wal-Mart Canada Corporation and other nimble competitors, which owe $48million to its creditors, got court protection from the creditors. Many stores have to be closed resulting in significant job losses in order to preserve business.
