The life and work of crusader Juliet McFarlane who recently achieved victory in her campaign against biotechnology leader Monsanto's research program to introduce genetically modified (GM) crops in Australia is described. McFarlane feels that the farmers have the right to agronomic data, information on the risk of contamination to their crops and segregation of GM seeds in the grain handling systems.

The baboons in western Sydney are used for research in gene therapy, heart disease and effects of aging. Baboons in Sydeny are kept in the Royal Prince Alferd Hospital's compound on Park Road where the environment is not favorable for them.
