Quebec separatist leaders Mario Dumont, Jacques Parizeau and Lucien Bouchard attended a rally in Alma, Quebec, designed to gather support for the fall 1995 referendum on secession. They stressed that Quebec would continue to maintain a partnership with Canada. Results of an opinion poll are given.

Mario Dumont of Parti Action Democratique, Premiere Jacques Parizeau and Bloc Quebec leader Lucien Bouchard have settled differences to form a pact for the creation of an independent Quebec state. Details of the pact and the plans for relations with the rest of Canada are recounted.
