Australian team in Baghdad received an electronic data 'memory stick' on May 29, 2005 that intended to prove that Douglas Wood was still alive and they believed that it might contain some important clues to his whereabouts. The mufti Sheik eL-Din Al Hilaly, spiritual leader to some of Australia's Muslims claimed that he had seen Wood 'eye-to-eye' but later he clarified that he saw him only on a video.
