In Australia, a P&O now owned by Dubai's sheikhs controls proportionately more than it would have in the US, since the real or imagined terror implications have not registered. America's loss could translate to Australia's gain, as Australia is increasingly seen in the Middle East as a large, sophisticated economy able to accommodate the petrocash without the hysteria, while even the largest Arab investor in the US has signalled that he will keep more cash in his home region.
