Shipping No. 1 fear of e-buyer: survey

A new survey by Ernst and Young L.L.P. has found that online shoppers are most concerned about the high cost of shipping products purchased on the Internet. The survey, which was conducted in October and November 1999, also found that online consumers want lower product prices.

A new survey about online businesses has been conducted by Toronto, Ont.-based J. C. Williams Group and Vancouver, BC-based Angus Reid Group Inc. The survey reveals that online sales in Canada have increased as shoppers visit more Canadian-operated Web sites.
