Should courts limit the use of eminent domain for private economic development?
Article Abstract:
The courts should not allow the government to use eminent domain to acquire private properties, because such powers can allow the wealthy and politically connected to help themselves to their neighbor's land, without providing any real economic benefits to the public. It is suggested that the eminent domain transactions should be made more transparent, and the Supreme Court should allow the state courts to tackle this issue.
