Standard Life joins industry trend and ditches its sales force
Article Abstract:
Standard Life Assurance Co is following industry trend by eliminating its 250-member captive sales force and sell its products through independent brokers and financial advisers. The change, to be initiated at the end of Mar 1999, will be implemented in an attempt to boost the Montreal, Canada- based life insurer's sales. Meanwhile, Standard Life also plans to trim down its branches scattered in Canada from 23 to six regional offices.
