Kerry Packer, the third-generation head of a financial dynasty took the family media interests and expanded them into a corporate powerhouse. The foundations of the house that became Kerry Packers were laid in 1920s by Kerry Packer's father, grandfather and great-grand father which is now home to print, broadcast an electronic media, with interest in sport, gaming, property and investment.

Steve Vizard's former bookkeeper Keith Hilliard has made a series of allegations against Vizard during a committal hearing for alleged theft of $3 million. While the bookkeeper is yet to undergo the trial, the Australian Security and Investments Commission (ASC) launched an investigation and in December 2003 federal police raided his home in Toorak, Melbourne, Australia.
