DaimlerChrysler is working on an "urban assistant system" that will be able to distinguish pedestrians, and General Motors is working on an experimental collision avoidance system.

The reasons for the failure of German in producing penicillin are discussed. It is mentioned that post war investigations showed that Germany did not carry out any clinical trials and it also did not succeed in purifying enough penicillin to carry out meaningful structural studies.

Australia's biggest tree, El Grande was a magnificent mountain ash, which survived generations, was dead after a disastrous fire which claimed its life. It was world's tallest flowering plant having 80m heights with a girth of 18.7m.
