Richard Woolcott
Article Abstract:
Former secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Richard Woolcott served seven prime ministers and 12 foreign ministers before retiring in 1992. In his new memoir, "The Hot Seat," he says, among other things, that Australia's involvement in the US war against Iraq only reinforces the notion that Australia is simply a US-UK outpost in the South Pacific.
