Tech leaders push Net schooling

Business leaders met to promote an internationally recognized Internet test for the Canadian public school system. The roundtable conference, which was attended by executives from Brampton, Ont.-based Nortel Networks Corp. and other high-tech firms, found that school boards for the country's 15,290 public schools are having trouble coping with the Internet age.
