Telecom: Phone rivals end bitter legal feud: MTS to pay $75-million to BCE, which will sell its $500-million stake in Winnipeg-based competitor

The legal battle between BCE Inc and Manitoba Telecom Services Inc that came up from MTS's move to create a new national phone company by merging with Allstream Inc has come to an end. BCE, parent of Bell Canada, filed lawsuits against MTS and Allstream, arguing that the deal breached non-competition agreements between the two phone companies where MTS has to pay BCE $75 million.
