The meeting on May 14th 2003 between the executive editor of The New York Times Howell Raines, Arthur Sulzberger Jr. Chairman and publisher of the Times and Gerald Boyd the Managing Editor is discussed. There was tension in the news room from the moment Howell Raines was appointed executive editor of The New York Times.
