A research report indicated that the LICs are entering a period of stronger performance which, when combined with the current discounting, makes them attractive for buying.

However, while short-selling to back a sharp downward trend can deliver big gains, a sudden reversal and the emergence of renewed market strength can just as quickly wipe these out, declare experts.
