Article Abstract:
Qantas, which had suspended its service to San Francisco from 1995, have started the flights after eleven years and the advertising agency designated goodwill ambassador John Travolta and Gavin Newsom, the youthful mayor of San Francisco to welcome the first plane load of travelers. The city is remarkably seductive, culturally vibrant, welcoming to the tourist, and booming with the wine industry but nobody can forget the quake that razed the city in 1906 and the way it has sprung back to present day status modeling itself as an example for other cities, especially Sydney.

Article Abstract:

It may take government policy to turn Australia's preference for big, powerful cars toward smaller, more fuel-efficient models. Consumers need a good reason to buy hybrid automobiles -- reasons such as tax breaks, registration discounts, freeway discounts, and parking privileges may help sway consumer opinion.
