A number of grassroots organizations such as the Trans-Canada Trail Foundation are helping to convert abandoned railroad tracks into trails for walkers, cyclists and snowmobilers. Ontario has the most converted track, while the Prairie provinces have the least.

Circus maximus: Cirque du Soleil is a global success
Article Abstract:
Cirque du Soleil is the only circus company that has managed to make the art form contemporary. The Montreal-based company has a new show, 'Quidam,' which will go on the road in Sep 1996. Other permanent sites are planned for Las Vegas, NV, and Orlando, FL.
