The racial issues highlighted by the O.J. Simpson trial show that the U.S. is still divided over race. Opinion surveys show that the majority of blacks felt that Simpson was innocent, while the majority of whites felt he was guilty. The reaction of blacks showed their deep distrust of the legal system.
