Computer viruses have become more powerful and more destructive, and they can travel more quickly and widely by travelling via email servers to email addresses read from users' address books. When Microsoft realized the extent to which viruses were enabled by using their Outlook Express email software, they started working on a new email package that asks for the user's permission to link different parts of the email client.
