Article Abstract:
The Parent-Child Home Program in Pittsfield, MA, aims to get children interested in books at a young age. Teaching demonstrators from the program make house visits to teach mothers how to get their children reading. Similar programs are offered in 49 cities in the United States and in other countries. So far, the program has been a success.

The good guys who blow up buildings

Jack Loizeaux and his family of demolition experts have been exploding and wrecking buildings, through their company Controlled Demolition Inc, for nearly 40 years. In November 1996 the Loizeauxs had the distinction of demolishing the tallest building in Nevada: Howard Hughes's Landmark Hotel.
