Toyota considers expansion

Toyota Motor Corp. is poised to add an assembly line in its manufacturing facility in Indiana in a bid to increase production capacity and eventually sell 1.5 mil vehicles per year in the US. At present, the company, which operates plants in Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana, California and Canada, is capable of manufacturing 1.2 mil trucks and cars year in North America. According to Hiroshi Okuda, Toyota Motor pres, the company is also considering to expand its Canadian facilities.

Article Abstract:
Toyota Motor Corp. is planning to construct two vehicle assemble plants in North American and one more plant in Canada. The company is also planning to sell 208,000 vehicles in 2007.
