Ottawa clearing way for petrocan sale: sources say $2.8 billion divestment expected by end of June at the latest

The federal government can be ready to sell its $2.8 billion in Petro-Canada stock within four to six weeks and is expected to move by the end of June 2004. Finance Minister Ralph Goodale stated that the timing of sale would depend on how quickly the federal government can put together an airtight process that follows all the rules and doesnot upset markets.
