Trade deficit clobbers greenback

A record monthly U.S. trade deficit has sent the U.S. dollar drop steeply against most currencies, which has left the Bush administration's U.S. dollar policy look tenuous on12 January 2005. The trade deficit of the U.S. with the world hit a record of $60.3-billion (U.S.) in November 2004 and was up by 7.7 percent in 1st week of January.

Apple hopes to lure windows users with low-priced PC

Apple chief executive officer Steve Job unveiled the cheapest personal computer (PC) it made to about 10 million users of iPod digital music players. Apple informed that the Mac Mini PCs priced between $499 to $599 would go on sale in January 20, 2005.
