Strat-O-Matic is baseball by the numbers
Article Abstract:
The Strat-O-Matic Baseball 5.0 sports/gambling computer game uses baseball statistics going back 100 years to allow the game player to draft a team and then play games either automatically or play-by-play. The user can set a baseball player's attributes. At the end of each baseball game, the program generates a newspaper sports article about the innings. Despite it's basic graphical appearance, the game succeeds because of level of control it gives a player and its statistical breadth and depth.

Sometimes it's better to just stop playing
Article Abstract:
Onimusha Warlords makes the player solve the same puzzles over and over until one finally just stops playing, out of sheer frustration. Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix is completely fascinating, agonizing, and has entertaining puzzles, as well as some sexual content. Stupid Invaders looks great, but is an infuriating game containing many flaws typical of adventure games, as well as two mazes, the most unpopular type of puzzle in an adventure game. This player would not have bothered to finish the game without a walk-through.
