Short Messaging Service (SMS), which has many applications, is proposed to soon replace the personal computer as the leading interactive device. SMS is the least expensive means of communication, but it also has its drawbacks as the carriers do not guarantee SMS integrity and warn the consumer against relying on text in emergency situations.
